WARBY PARKER
Penn Quarter Store Design, The Ins and Outs of D.C.
AD Matt Singer
I was comissioned to create illustrations for Warby Parker’s new location in Washington, D.C. that captured the landmarks, urban environment, and nature of the capital. I illustrated three framed artworks and four panels that spanned 60 ft. When I first got glasses, I remember my mom saying, “You’ll really be able to see the trees!” I wanted to show the amazement of seeing new details, and it was perfect that D.C. is known for the cherry blossoms. The framed pieces focus on interior scenes, while the panels are exterior scenes of people exploring.
